Basic Costs
Every adventurer needs a place to sleep, food to eat and equipment to survive. Economy
Ammeil's economy for trade goods, services and materials runs on a variety of currencies found used throughout the world. Its most common however is the Rube. Named after a widely traded root crop during the age of discovery, the Rube was introduced as a way for societies to trade with each other using universally found and obtainable minerals for currency production. There are 5 different types of Rubes
Tin Rube
Iron Rube
Silver Rube
Gold Rube
Tourmaline Rube
Tin Rube = 1 rube
Iron Rube = 10 rubes
Silver Rube = 100 rubes
Gold Rube = 1,000 rubes
Tourmaline Rube = 10,000 rubes
Minerals, metals and more
Important for nearly every practical societal use, minerals and metals can be found anywhere. Some however have properties that go beyond the norm.
Common Ore
Common ores are elements found in everyday use. These include Tin, Copper, Bronze, Iron and Steel
Special Materials
Materials that allow unusual and powerful effects
SANCROTALUMSancrotalum is a dust created from the bones of a deity. Different than Ichor, Sancrotalum is a nessesary ingrediant in making Spell Tomes, and a great amount of it is needed. Only the most powerful wizards can utilize its divine agents into new creation, binding a part of the magical fabric onto the page of a book. Often times even a highly talented mage will fail many times to get the agents to bond correctly. | SOREVALA deadly and toxic ore that can only be recovered from the ancient remains of decayed Light Leaf plants underground. It must be handled with extreme care as even just a small cut on the skin can spread a deadly poison that temporarily cripples and paralyzes the target at best or most commonly, kills them quickly. It is highly sought after for arrows and for assassin weaponry. | CORUNDUMNamed after the ancient Dverger city that first uncovered its location deep underground, Corundum is a complex and rare ore to work with. Its melting point is so high that it requires specialized furnaces only found in the grandest of Dwarven cities capable of housing its extreme demands. After it is cooled, it forms into a nigh impenetrable material several times stronger than steel, but also several times heavier as well. | CRESENTKnown as the stone of fate, living magic or the Weaver's tear, Cresent is the rarest and most powerful ore known to mortals. It contains special properties that when formed into armor or weapons can nullify strong magic and protect the owner from the harms of portal travel between realms. Cresent is unmistakable, having a radiant purple shine and glow as well as having a slight rhythmic hum that can be heard when placing your ear close to it. |

LIGHT LEAFLight Leaf plants are a delicate, highly sought after ingredient found in only the most expensive and powerful potions. Containing the purest essence of "light" within, Light leaf plants glow brilliantly when blooming and their blossoms can be used to cure diseases, illness and even hexes. Though once blooming they must be used quick before the blossom fades and dies. It is also the only known cure to Sorevel. | ICHORIchor, is literally the "blood of the Gods". During the Great Conflict that lasted many millennia, the lands were drenched in Ichor, creating veins of magic in the world and giving birth to new life. Ichor's powers are unknown, its effects and limitations "unseen". It can cause the most drastic changes in the world and grant untold powers, however, almost no living mortal has ever held such a substance or even seen it before in the current era. Obtaining it is simple enough, just kill a Deity... | CRYST VESSELCryst Vessels can only be made from gemstones or crystals that contain nearly a perfect inner purity and a high enough surface radiance to hold magical charges inside. Only the most exquisite gems can be used for this purpose and depending on the size, they can be used to power a number of different powerful mechanisms. |
