In times lost to memory, Ja'Yur the potter of creation, melded and formed life into being on the lands of Ammeil. The first of his creations became known as the Guardians, immense powerful deity like beings capable of incredible feats. During the Great Conflict among Gods, Rastamoore the mighty Ogre of dominance, asked Ja'Yur for his aid in creating a magically entuned race in return for the sons and daughters held by Rastamoore. Upon their release, Ja'Yur fashioned the Trollkin, using Orcs as his base, he spent months remolding them until the first Trollkin walked the land. There was one problem though, a part of Rastamoore's vileness remained, and so, despite their new found form, they found themselves bound to the realms of chaos serving it as their mistress.

Trollkin have been loyal to chaos since that time, being able to peer into its folds and see the chaos untwine into visions of the future and past. Along with this they are able to conjure blood magic, a powerful connection to chaos that allows for personal sacrifice for personal reward. Trollkin are deeply tribalistic, a trait that has never changed in the eons of their kind. Each Trollkin within its commune refers to their own as "blood brothers", no matter the size of the tribe, Shamanic rituals and dark magic is deeply intwined into their life. Amongst Troll kind Shamans are deeply respected and revered, giving their whole lives to the services of chaos. If a shaman is particularly capable and has been given the blessing of chaos or Rastamoore, they can transcend the bonds of life, living past their time as undead beings and binding their souls to their very bones. Shamans who have achieved this are extremely rare and are called Dark Shamans.
