HISTORY - ORIGIN - CULTURE

Svalki are the oldest known inhabitants of the sea, born and formed by the Goddess Eselodie. For ages the Svalki have grown their numbers and spread far and wide across the oceans. Battling for eons, the Svalki have survived the harshest of trials and turmoil. During their time in the great conflict, the Svalki were almost wiped out entirely in war against multiple powerful aquatic races. In the end the Svalki managed to survive and kill off every other race nearly at the cost of their own extinction. Surviving on their sheer numbers alone, the Svalki outlived the great conflict and even the death of their own Goddess Eselodie. VaQuasar then became their guardian protecting them until his own demise

Once a powerful and mighty race, the Svalki's enormous numbers (then recovered after the great conflict) proved to be too much to organize and control, eventually erupting in bloody rebellions, riots and divided kingdoms, scattering them across the seas.

In modern times the Svalki can be found near anywhere in the seas and still remain at war from within, bickering and fighting amongst themselves.

Svalki culture is much like humanity, filled with a history of war and celebration. Svalki have long been the pioneers of the sea, creating many of the most modern methods of underwater agriculture, fish breeding and shell work. Svalki build what is the closest resemblance to modern homes, using seaweeds and plants to bind materials together creating a type of undersea cabin.

Svalki relationships are very open and can be kind of alien to some. In Svalki culture there is never any long term bonding, but instead Svalki's spend time with whomever they wish, coming and going as they please. It is also not uncommon for some to have multiple temporary partners. Svalki females typically give birth only once in their life and are sterile after, giving birth to about 5-9 eggs at once. Gestation of the "pups" takes only about 4 months and after they are born they grow rapidly becoming independent in only 5 years time.
