HISTORY - ORIGIN - CULTURE

Gnorl transparent clean_edited.png

The very first goblins were created by Rastamoore during the Great Conflict. As a sort of cannon fodder for the more aggressive races, the original goblins were brutal, dumb and dispensable, being used in vast amounts as disposable armies to overwhelm enemies. Somewhere along the line and seemingly after the Great Conflict ended, a lineage of intelligent and organized goblins were found by the renowned explorer Basker Fields on the Lands of Karuck. This race of goblins became known as the Basker Goblins and to this current eon they are called thus.

Basker Goblins, like their ancestors, come in large numbers, and with their cunning and intelligence, have found their place in the world by trade of goods and services. For many human kingdoms, Basker Goblins have become a norm of everyday life, taking jobs that have been less desirable by most or deemed dangerous in nature.

Basker Goblins face alot of prejudice in life, being treated only slightly better than indentured slaves or favored pets, they thrive in usefulness but struggle in meaningfulness. Because of this there have been many that have turned to lives of crime or rebellion seeking to one day create a meaningful impact of their own. In the wild, many feral goblins have been noted to create tribal like structures, typically a particularly strong or smart goblin is elected as the leader with little more structure to it then that. Basker Goblins share in some of this ancestral tribalism but over time have become more modern in their approach even having been noted to have their own guilds, workforce, designated military and more in locations where many of them have been found communally together.
